The following court rulings are finalized judgments regarding the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) from 2014 to 2018. These decisions carry legal credibility as they were determined through court battles.

  1. The WMSCOG is a pseudo-religious group that induces divorce and family abandonment, destroying families.
  2. The WMSCOG is a fraudulent and criminal organization that deceives its members. Its leaders, Jang Gil-ja and Kim Joo-cheol, are religious scammers.
  3. WMSCOG members systematically assaulted or threatened to kill former members who had left the group. These perpetrators were arrested by the police, sentenced to prison, and served time. This incident was intensively covered for three days on Daegu MBC News, shocking the public.
  4. The WMSCOG deceived its members three times (in 1988, 1999, and 2012), claiming the world would end. They exploited members to amass properties worth trillions of won.
  5. The WMSCOG teaches that husbands who do not believe in Jang Gil-ja as "God" are devils. It claims members who do not pay tithes or evangelize will be cursed by Jang Gil-ja. They also teach that earthly families are fake, calling them mere play-acting, and that the "true family" and "true parents" are only their leader, Jang Gil-ja. These teachings destroy families and exploit members’ properties.
  6. The WMSCOG, along with its leaders Jang Gil-ja and Kim Joo-cheol, filed over 150 civil and criminal lawsuits against victims exposing these facts. However, they repeatedly lost these cases, despite hiring large law firms.
