God Who Came in the Flesh - Eom Su-in

In 1981, Ahn Sahng-hong stated in the Weekly Religion newspaper regarding the Second Coming Jesus: “The returning Lord must come to this earth secretly, like a royal inspector, carry out the gospel ministry for 37 years, and then die. The reason for avoiding the gospel ministry for 37 years is that David’s reign lasted 40 years, but Jesus at His first coming was only able to work for 3 years before being crucified. Therefore, the Second Coming Jesus must fulfill the remaining 37 years to complete the 40 years.”

Ahn Sahng-hong's 1981 Claim in the Weekly Religion Newspaper

The book God Who Came in the Flesh was published in 1978 by Eom Su-in, who sought to make Ahn Sahng-hong the Holy Spirit God and the Second Coming Jesus, while also presenting herself as the Bride. Readers are likely aware that Yeom Su-in promoted the idea of the Holy Spirit and the Bride.

Thus, in order for Ahn Sahng-hong to position himself as the Second Coming Jesus in the flesh, he appears to have copied Yeom Su-in's argument about David’s 40-year reign directly from her 1978 publication God Who Came in the Flesh and published an article in the Weekly Religion newspaper. This argument was also seemingly quoted in The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life, leading to suspicions that Ahn Sahng-hong used this to claim himself as the Second Coming Jesus in the flesh.

In The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life, Ahn Sahng-hong appears to have quoted extensively from Eom Su-in’s books, including arguments about Melchizedek, the First Coming Jesus, and the Last Jesus, among others.

It is notable that Ahn Sahng-hong’s The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life was first registered on July 8, 1980, two years after Eom Su-in’s God Who Came in the Flesh.

Ultimately, it can be inferred that Ahn Sahng-hong plagiarized Yeom Su-in’s book in order to claim himself as the Second Coming Jesus in the flesh, which led to his article in the Weekly Religion newspaper in 1981.
