In the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG), Jang Gil-ja is idolized as "God the Mother". Ahn Sahng-hong, who passed away earlier, is regarded as "God the Father", and members believe that the deceased Ahn Sahng-hong will return as the Judge.

They also teach that when Ahn Sahng-hong returns, the 144,000 members and Jang Gil-ja will ascend to heaven without experiencing physical death. To outsiders, this belief may seem absurd, but WMSCOG members genuinely believe that Jang Gil-ja will live eternally and ascend to heaven with Ahn Sahng-hong when he comes again.

However, after teaching and gaslighting members to believe this for several years, the WMSCOG has begun changing its stance. This shift seems to be in preparation for the inevitable death of Jang Gil-ja, who is now 80 years old.

Here are the signs of this change:

1. They no longer teach the doctrine of the 144,000.
2. They have removed "New Songs" that reference ascension.
3. Current members are being taught that Jang Gil-ja might eventually die.
